MTPA Clean-up Campaign

“To kontan Moris, respekte li” (If You Love Mauritius, Respect It)

Ahead of Mauritius reopening its borders post-COVID-19, the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) and key stakeholders launched a national campaign to trigger positive action among Mauritians.

Lemon spearheaded a clean-up campaign with a catchy TV commercial featuring popular actor and influencer Vincent Duverge. Set on a pristine beach, young people are caught littering. A spirited lady intervenes, teaching them the importance of keeping Mauritius clean. Her lesson sparks an infectious Mauritian Creole song and dance, translating to “If you love Mauritius, respect it.” Together, they pick up and dispose of litter, transforming responsibility into prideful celebration.

The campaign went viral, amplified by social media influencers and engaging clips that captured hearts nationwide. On the ground, branded posters and bins featuring the message “To kontan Moris, respekte li” reinforced the call to action.

This initiative wasn’t just about cleanliness; it united Mauritians in honouring their homeland and celebrating its beauty for all to admire.
